BARESHAFT CONSTRUCTION PUMP

Self-priming.
Capable of handing liquids and gas mixtures.
Low capacity - high head.
Suction lifts to 8,5 m.w.c.
Low operating speed for extended life, low vibration, low noise level and maximum reliability.
Impellers are individually hydraulically balanced this end thrust forces to bearings are eliminated.
Mechanical seals are standard and unified to DIN 24960.
Optional double mechanical seals back to back or tandem.
Cooled or heated seal housing are available.
Reduced number of components is achieved by design innovation.
Choice of motor mounting, including close-coupled through flexible coupling to unified B5 motor, up to 15 kW.
Variety of materials are available to meet specific requirements.
Capacities to 70 m³/h.
Heads to 25 bar.

APPLICATIONS

Handing clean liquids, corrosives, hot or cold in the chemical, petro-chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.
Removal of condensates and distilled liquids.
Solvents and liquified gases applications.
Boiler feed applications.
Removal of liquids from processes under vacuum.
Filling stations and transfer of LPG and liquified gases.
Potable and sanitary system in the naval industry.
Spray washing installations.

CLOSE-COUPLED CONSTRUCTION PUMP

CONSTRUCTION

Multi-stage self-priming pumps use the side channel design principle.
The pumps are of sectional construction with the intermediate sections arranged in series between suction and discharge casings and fastened by means of tie bolts. The pump stages are staggered radially to bring about balance and minimize shaft deflections. The open "star" type impellers are individually hydraulically balanced thus eliminating the axial thrust on the external ball bearings of the pump. The number of the impellers or stages varies directly with the total head requirements.

BEARING AND SEALING ARRANGEMENT

Shaft supported in one external sealed watertight deep groove ball bearing at the drive end in one internal liquid lubricated sleeve bearing at the non-drive end. Short design with mechanical seals. Can be converted to monoblock design.
Particularly suitable for handling LPG.
Special, balanced mechanical seal to BS/ISO 3069 (DIN 24960).
