These pumps derive from the TBH series with an additional centrifugal stage at the suction side.
Pumps TBA have extremely low NPSH requirements and are particularly suitable for handling boiling liquids and difficult applications.
This design is especially suited to handle liquids with entrained gases and liquified gases such as LPG.

Handing clean liquids, corrosives, hot or cold in the chemical, petro-chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.
Removal of condensates and distilled liquids.
Solvents and liquified gases applications.
Boiler feed applications.
Removal of liquids from processes under vacuum.
Filling stations and transfer of LPG and liquified gases.

CONSTRUCTION

This series utilises the same impellers and stage casings as the type TBH pump but has, as the first stage, a centrifugal type impeller which acts as an inducer.
This design offers the following advantages:
positively self-priming,
intensitive to gas and vapour laden liquids,
ultra-low NPSH as low as 15 cm. (6 inches) when extracting under vacuum,
suitable for low and medium capacities at high heads.
This series posesses all the versatile features of the type TBH pumps and the various types of seal chambers for cooling/heating the seals and stuffing boxes are available viz: models TBA/1TB and TBA/1TC.

BEARING AND SEALING ARRANGEMENT

Single mechanical seal self-lubricated (normalized according to DIN 24960) or balanced mechanical seal, short and compact bearing housing with strong sealed ball bearing on discharge side.
Bearing bush on suction side self-lubricated by pumped liquid.
Possibility of close coupled design.
